Chinese woodblock prints

Chinese woodblock prints are not widely known and only a few examples still exist, but they were popular among the Chinese public during the Qing dynasty (1644–1912) and they influenced Japanese ukiyo-e prints. This museum has one of the finest collections of Suzhou prints in the world. These cover a wide range of themes, from beautiful women and landscapes to flowers and birds.
